Prototype
Hi Guys!
So one of my colleagues gave me an awesome idea during our class dotstorming assignment. The idea was to create a Kahoot for part of my problem of practice. My Problem is about professional development for teachers about different learning styles and engaging our students. So I decided to take that idea and use it for my prototype. I would start out the professional development meeting with this Kahoot as an engaging starter/ survey for the staff. I think I could vamp it up a bit and add more. However, right now this is where my prototype is at. Let me know what you think of it!

Problem of Practice
There are a couple of problems that I have been thinking about. I have noticed with the general ed classrooms and sped classrooms in my school having a hard time reaching all of the different learning styles their students have and keeping them engaged. I feel that some of the teachers are unsure of what kinds of technology are out there to help different kinds of students. I think the school should have PD for the teachers and using technology but there hasn't been a lot. The kids are losing interest. This is where I am at with coming up with a problem. It is hard being in a separate classroom all day. I only get out so much, unless my kids have specials. Any suggestions or ideas are welcome! :)

All About Me...
Hi Everyone! I just want to let people know a little bit about myself before anyone reads my posts. First off, My name is Tiffany and I am from a small town in Ohio. I earned my bachelors in Special Education from Bowling Green State University. I taught in Ohio for 3 years; two of them were in a elementary severe special needs self-contained classroom, and for one year I taught in a severe behavioral classroom at a residential school. I have been working with people with disabilities my entire life, and that is how I knew it was my calling to become a special education teacher.
Later on, I met my husband when he was stationed near my home town. We actually met online! We got married in June of 2014 and also had to relocate to Massachusetts that same month. He got stationed in Boston, and my life has definitely changed. I am currently working as a TA in a special education classroom with middle school students. I have been a TA now for 2 years while trying to get my teaching license in MA and working on my Master's in Educational Technology. Trying to get my licensure in MA has been quite a process. However, it has been a blessing to be a TA because it has given me time to focus on my Master's and my MTEL tests. I chose to get my Master's in MA, because my husband is gone for like 70% of the year and I figured I should get it done before we start having a family.
Some interests and hobbies of mine are definitely spending as much time with my husband while he is home. We love to explore New England, it is so beautiful around here. (open to any tips and advice on places and things to do!) I love to take my dog (Doug) on walks and hikes. I am an avid runner and love to work out. I also like to hang out with my friends and other Coast Guard wives. In the summer I play beach volleyball with a group of people every weekend. I enjoy sports and watching my favorite teams: Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, Ohio State Buckeyes. I also like to go to concerts especially country concerts.
That's pretty much all I have for now, but I am sure you will be learning more about me as I write more posts.
